Baseball teams went to bat for cancer research with some very distinctive looking equipment this past Mother’s Day weekend 2010. We donated 48 pink baseball bats that were used for all Lower Mainland Baseball Association (LMBA) league games on May 8th and 9th.
The games were part of a special fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society called Going to Bat for Cancer Research. All 32 teams were encouraged to collect donations from friends and family. We’re happy to announce that the weekend was a roaring success raising a total of $6,354, a great job for the event in its first year.
